Radiological Integration Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will coordinate design integration for Nuclear Island System components, focusing on radiological design, analysis, and shielding requirements while collaborating with engineers and scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate between design teams on radiological release analysis, risk analysis, and shielding design
• Develop Radiation Protection/Shielding design guidance and ensure alignment between analysis and design teams
• Support radiological licensing activities and design reviews as system designs are established and refined

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university
• 10+ years of experience in radiological protection/health physics at a commercial nuclear facility
• Relevant experience in radiation protection design and shielding/source term analysis
• Experience with Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP) code for complex geometry analyses
• Proven ability to lead multi-discipline design integration efforts with minimal direction
