Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will coordinate between design teams and radiological analysis to ensure effective integration of Nuclear Island System design with radiological shielding requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate between design teams on radiological release analysis, risk analysis, and shielding design
- Develop Radiation Protection/Shielding design guidance and generate related program documents
- Support design reviews and integrate plant analyses into design delivery
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline from an accredited university
- 10+ years of experience in radiological protection/health physics at a commercial nuclear facility
- Experience with shielding and source term analysis, including complex geometry analyses using MCNP code
- Previous experience with nuclear reactors or similar high-performance systems
- Ability to work on simultaneous tasks requiring a multi-disciplinary approach
