Job Summary
To support nuclear design integration, the contract Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will coordinate between design teams and radiological analysis, develop shielding design guidance, and lead cross-cutting analysis while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate between design teams and radiological analysis to ensure alignment on shielding design and operational assumptions
- Develop and generate program documents related to Radiation Protection and Shielding
- Lead cross-cutting analysis and design decisions while supporting radiological licensing activities
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university
- 10+ years of direct experience in radiological protection/health physics at a commercial nuclear facility
- Relevant experience in shielding and source term analysis, including complex geometry analyses with Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP) code
- Experience in multi-discipline design integration within nuclear applications
- Previous experience with nuclear reactors or high-performance systems design
