Job Summary
To ensure seamless patient care for incidental findings and lung cancer screenings, the full-time Radiology Care Coordinator will track patient progress, coordinate appointments, and serve as a resource for patients and families in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Tracks and documents patient interventions and outcomes, ensuring timely communication with referring physicians
- Coordinates scheduling and referrals to specialty providers, preparing patients for appointments and providing follow-up information
- Reviews radiology reports and compiles information to support care pathways and program efficiency
Required qualifications
- High school diploma with at least one year of post-high school medical education; associate degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of clinical oncology healthcare or hospital-based experience
- Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and demonstrated proficiency in computer software including Excel and Word
- Ability to function autonomously with strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and medical staff
