Radiology Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Services Coding Specialist II - Remote Radiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-9, CPT-4 & HCPC codes from documentation and apply appropriate modifiers
• Problem-solve claim edits and support the denial process as needed
• Uphold productivity standards and maintain a coding quality accuracy rate of 95.5%

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma/GED required; vocational or technical education beyond high school preferred
• Minimum of 3 years coding experience in a relevant specialty
• AHIMA credentials and/or AAPC certification required; AAPC specialty certifications preferred
• Knowledge of third-party reimbursement regulations and billing practices
• Moderate knowledge of CCI edits and LCDs
