Radiology Scheduling Representative

Job Summary

To support a leading healthcare organization, the full-time temporary Radiology Patient Scheduling Representative will coordinate patient scheduling for diagnostic imaging services, ensuring timely access to care while working remotely for approximately 3 months.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule patients for radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Review imaging orders for completeness and accuracy, and verify patient demographic and insurance information
• Provide compassionate service by educating patients on preparation instructions and coordinating appointment scheduling based on availability and patient needs

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience using Epic EMR/EHR and navigating scheduling and patient access workflows
• 1-3 years of healthcare scheduling, patient access, call center, or customer service experience preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic imaging procedures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive patient information
