Job Summary

Scheduling outpatient radiology procedures, the full-time Radiology Scheduling Specialist will manage appointment bookings via phone, fax, or electronic systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and communicating essential exam information to patients and healthcare providers, with potential remote work options after an initial training period.

Key responsibilities

• Schedules outpatient procedures for Radiology Services through various channels, including phone and online ordering tools
• Gathers and documents patient information to ensure compliance with safety and medical necessity standards
• Coordinates imaging procedures to prevent scheduling conflicts and communicates preparation instructions to patients

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 years of customer service experience required; prior scheduling experience in a medical environment preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology specific to radiology preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred
