Radiology Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

To support the scheduling needs of a busy radiology department, the full-time Radiology Scheduling Specialist will manage multi-facility appointment scheduling for outpatient exams via phone, fax, or electronic queue, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and communicating essential information to patients and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Schedules outpatient procedures for Radiology Services through various channels
• Gathers and documents patient information to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Communicates exam preparation instructions and coordinates imaging procedures to avoid conflicts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 years of customer service experience required; scheduling experience in a medical environment preferred
• Medical terminology specific to radiology preferred
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
