Radiology Service Navigator

Job Summary

Providing essential administrative support, the full-time Radiology Service Navigator will manage inbound and outbound calls, facilitate communication of exam results, and assist with exam reading readiness in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and direct incoming calls from referring physicians and technologists in a call center setting
• Communicate findings and incidental findings to ordering physicians and document all interactions in the system
• Act as a liaison between radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure timely patient care and facilitate exam preparation

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: Associate degree or post-secondary coursework in a healthcare-related field
• Experience or training in radiology or a call center environment
• Certification in medical terminology is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and radiology information systems (RIS)
