R&D Operations Director

Job Summary

Driving organizational effectiveness across R&D, the full-time Head of R&D Operations will partner with the CTO to design performance processes, maintain organizational health, and improve cross-team workflows in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run performance processes, including quarterly reviews and annual cycles, in partnership with the R&D HR Business Partner
• Provide structured insights to the CTO and R&D leadership regarding top performers, underperformance, and organizational gaps
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies early, proposing proactive solutions to ensure smooth execution across teams

Required qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years in Product, Engineering, Technical Program Management, or R&D Operations roles
• Strong understanding of modern SaaS product and engineering organizations
• Proven experience in improving organizational processes and execution at scale
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence without formal authority
• High AI literacy with hands-on use of AI tools in workflows
