Job Summary
Providing strategic legal counsel in a full-time remote capacity, the Real Estate and Facilities Attorney will manage complex commercial leasing, real estate transactions, and employee health and safety compliance while supporting the business objectives of a healthcare organization.
Key responsibilities
- Review and negotiate complex commercial leases and provide strategic guidance on lease risk allocation and compliance
- Lead legal support for real estate acquisitions and dispositions, conducting due diligence and managing outside counsel
- Advise on employee health and safety laws, developing policies and supporting regulatory inquiries related to workplace safety
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with 5+ years of relevant legal experience in commercial real estate and facilities
- Active admission and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with the ability to obtain additional licensure if required
- Extensive experience in commercial leasing, including negotiating and drafting lease agreements and managing real estate transactions
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions effectively while meeting tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of Stark and Anti-Kickback regulations as applied to leasing in healthcare real estate transactions
