Job Summary
Serving as the primary legal advisor for real estate transactions, the full-time remote Legal Counsel for Real Estate Development will manage land acquisition, ground lease, and development agreement activities while collaborating with various teams to structure and negotiate deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements and ground leases
- Advise on land use, zoning, and permitting issues, coordinating with local counsel and government authorities
- Conduct title reviews and manage environmental due diligence for prospective development sites
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to a U.S. state bar required
- 5-10 years of real estate legal experience, preferably with both law firm and in-house backgrounds
- Extensive experience with commercial real estate transactions, including large-scale land acquisitions
- Familiarity with industrial, data center, or infrastructure real estate is strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment
