Reconciliation Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst will execute reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and develop automated reporting solutions to ensure financial accuracy in a payments business.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations between card networks, banking partners, and internal data to ensure integrity
• Investigate unreconciled items and discrepancies, performing root-cause analysis and driving corrective actions
• Design and maintain automated SQL-based reconciliation and reporting solutions, contributing to the team's success metrics

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in reconciliation, settlement, payment operations, or finance analytics with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Proficiency in SQL, including building and maintaining automated reporting
• Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to research discrepancies and resolve issues
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles and money movement mechanics
