Reconsideration Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Reconsideration Analyst to make second-level non-medical appeal decisions for beneficiaries, supplies, or providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Writes clear reconsideration decisions that support determinations made
• Addresses all appeal issues raised by beneficiaries, representatives, suppliers, and providers
• Conducts research using federal regulations and related resources to support accurate decisions

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three years of general office experience
• Two years of experience with high volumes of customer calls, appeals, or billing
• College education or technical training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis
• Experience with Medicare and customer service is preferred
