Job Summary
To support federal government agencies, the remote Records Management Administrator will process FOIA requests by reviewing and analyzing requests, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with FOIA regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and analyze FOIA requests to determine scope and applicable exemptions
- Coordinate with program offices and IT personnel to locate and validate responsive records
- Draft correspondence and maintain accurate administrative files in compliance with IMLS records retention schedules
Required qualifications:
- Experience processing FOIA requests and conducting searches within Microsoft 365 systems
- Knowledge of FOIA and Privacy Act requirements, including relevant agency guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro or equivalent redaction tools
- Strong written communication skills and ability to manage multiple assignments independently
- Prior federal government experience with FOIA/Privacy Act is preferred but not required
