Recourse Source Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Recourse Source Specialist responsible for mitigating repurchase-loss risk and managing related processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage repurchase and loss exposure, ensuring timely appeals and conducting root-cause analysis
• Coach and manage a team of Auditors and Analysts, providing training and performance assessments
• Establish procedures, maintain compliance, and oversee reporting and analytics related to repurchase risks

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred with relevant experience
• 3-4 years of mortgage underwriting experience or 7-10 years of extensive mortgage underwriting experience
• Two years of experience in Investor/Servicer/MI Company negotiations
• 3-5 years of team management experience
• Training in Underwriting, Credit, and Repurchase Risk
