Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Recovery Specialist responsible for identifying and researching third-party claims and recovering overpayments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research third-party claims for recovery of overpayments
• Pursue, negotiate, and settle subrogation, liens, and reimbursement recoveries
• Determine legal liability related to various types of claims

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an associate's degree or 60 credits in business, legal, or medical fields, along with one year of relevant work experience, or a high school diploma with three years of relevant work experience
• Satisfactory completion of continuing education courses in medical terminology and coding within one year of hire
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel skills or equivalent expertise
• Preferred: College or technical school courses in business, legal, or medical fields
• Preferred: CSRP (Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional) designation from NASP
