Recycling Program Specialist

Job Summary

Managing multiple concurrent recycling programs, the full-time Recycling Program Specialist will support the design, implementation, and optimization of national recycling initiatives while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of recycling programs and technical initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time
• Collect and analyze operational data to provide actionable insights and develop reports for internal decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in recycling, sustainability, waste management, consulting, or program management
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and vendor-supported work
• Familiarity with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs and related state requirements
• Experience with operational systems such as collection, processing, or material recovery infrastructure preferred
