Referral Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral & Medical Authorization Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Notify insurance companies and obtain necessary authorizations for services
• Obtain and verify demographic and billing information
• Document actions and interactions in the Electronic Medical Record system

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience in obtaining healthcare pre-authorizations
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT classification systems
• Experience in a physician practice or hospital setting with patient registration and insurance knowledge
• Experience with third party payors
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a continuous learner
