Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Coordinator who will manage referrals and authorizations for a PCP office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process referrals to specialty areas and coordinate appointments with insurance companies
  • Answer incoming calls regarding referrals and communicate with patients about their referral status
  • Complete authorization requests and track communications with insurance companies
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in referral coordination or patient access
  • Familiarity with insurance authorization processes
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
