Referral Coordinator

Job Summary

To support the Heart & Vascular Service Line, the full-time Referral Coordinator will manage patient referrals, obtain necessary authorizations, and coordinate scheduling for various services while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Completes patient referrals and coordinates with referring and receiving practices
• Obtains authorizations and prepares financial estimates for patients
• Schedules surgical procedures and diagnostic testing, ensuring accurate allocation of time

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Computer experience is necessary
• Understanding of insurance coverage and medical necessity policies preferred
• Knowledge of medical records software preferred
• Customer service experience required
