Referral Coordinator II

Job Summary

Supporting clinical teams and patients, the full-time salaried Referral Coordinator II will manage referrals and authorizations in the outpatient ambulatory setting, ensuring accurate processing and coordination of care while working onsite in Orlando, Florida.

Key responsibilities

• Completes entry of referrals and/or authorizations into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Coordinates follow-up care and schedules appointments associated with referrals, diagnostic testing, and surgical procedures
• Communicates with internal and external customers to obtain required authorizations for each visit or service

Required qualifications

• High school graduate
• Medical Terminology knowledge
• Three (3) years of directly related work experience in processing referrals
• Proficiency in Windows Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with PC/Windows systems
