Referral Program Coordinator
Job Summary
Processing referrals and scheduling patients, the full-time Referral Program Coordinator will manage internal and external referrals for ambulatory services while working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Key responsibilities
- Process internal, incoming, and external referrals for ambulatory services, procedures, and medications
- Obtain prior authorizations and schedule patients through inbound and outbound phone calls and online communication
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure a smooth referral process
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two or more years of experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
