Job Summary
A company is looking for a Referral / Authorization Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process authorization requests and provider inquiries accurately and efficiently
- Verify member eligibility, benefits, and provider contracting status
- Communicate with healthcare providers, maintain records, and verify benefits information
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and prior authorization processes
- 1+ year of experience in referral and authorization coordination within healthcare
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional college coursework is advantageous
- Familiarity with State and Federal healthcare regulations
- Technical proficiency in using computer systems and software
