Referral Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist to manage patient referrals and scheduling for a specific medical specialty.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the central contact for all medical office activities related to patient referrals
• Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of patient ambulatory referrals
• Provide information on scheduling policies, procedures, and locations to patients and referring providers

Required Qualifications

• Six years of related work experience, with four years in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate's degree with four years of experience
• High school education or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical record systems
• Proven record of attendance, punctuality, and reliability
