Referral Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist for the YM CARE Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact for all medical office activities related to patient referrals
• Coordinate and schedule patient ambulatory referrals for the appropriate specialty
• Provide information on scheduling policies, procedures, and locations to patients and referring providers

Required Qualifications

• Six years of related work experience, with four in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate's degree with four years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare related call center or medical practice is preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
• Ability to handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
