Referral Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist for the YM CARE Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as the central point of contact for patient referrals and oversees coordination and scheduling for the appropriate specialty
• Provides information to patients and referring providers regarding scheduling policies, procedures, and locations
• Handles incoming referrals and manages patient interactions with a high degree of initiative and professionalism

Required Qualifications

• Six years of related work experience, with four years in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate's degree with four years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice is preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and scheduling software
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
