Referral Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist for the YM CARE Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as the central point of contact for all medical office activities related to patient referrals
• Coordinates and schedules patient ambulatory referrals for the appropriate specialty
• Provides information on scheduling policies, procedures, and locations to patients and referring providers

Required Qualifications

• Six years of related work experience, with four years in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate's degree with four years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• High degree of initiative and ability to manage patient interactions effectively
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare-related call center or medical practice is preferred
• Ability to handle confidential patient information while complying with HIPAA regulations
• Proven record of exemplary attendance and reliability
