Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist to coordinate patient referrals and scheduling for a specific medical specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the central point of contact for all medical office activities related to patient referrals
  • Critically evaluate incoming referrals and oversee the scheduling of patient ambulatory referrals
  • Provide information on scheduling policies, procedures, and locations to patients and referring providers
Required Qualifications
  • Six years of related work experience, with four in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate's degree with related experience
  • Ability to handle high call volumes and manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Proficient in medical terminology and electronic medical record systems
  • Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice is preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles
