Job Summary
A company is looking for a Referral Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for patient referrals and coordinate scheduling for the appropriate specialty
- Serve as the main contact for new patient referrals and provide scheduling information to referring providers and patients
- Oversee administrative activities and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Six years of related work experience, with four years in the same job family at the next lower level, or an Associate's degree with related experience
- High school education or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience in a high-volume healthcare related call center or medical practice is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record systems is advantageous
- Demonstrated reliability and exemplary attendance record
