Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the central point of contact for patient referrals and coordinate scheduling for the appropriate specialty
  • Serve as the main contact for new patient referrals and provide scheduling information to referring providers and patients
  • Oversee administrative activities and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
  • Six years of related work experience, with four years in the same job family at the next lower level, or an Associate's degree with related experience
  • High school education or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience in a high-volume healthcare related call center or medical practice is preferred
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record systems is advantageous
  • Demonstrated reliability and exemplary attendance record
