Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist for the YM CARE Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as the central point of contact for all medical office activity related to patient referrals
• Coordinates and schedules patient ambulatory referrals for the appropriate specialty
• Provides information on scheduling policies, procedures, and locations to patients and referring providers

Required Qualifications

• Six years of related work experience, with four in the same job family at the next lower level, or an Associate's degree with four years of related experience
• High school education or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare-related call center or medical practice is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record systems is advantageous
• Proven record of attendance, punctuality, and reliability
