Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist for the YM CARE Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact for all medical office activity related to patient referrals
• Coordinate and schedule patient ambulatory referrals for the appropriate specialty
• Provide information to patients and referring providers regarding scheduling policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Six years of related work experience, with four in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate's degree with related experience
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for work experience
• Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
• Ability to handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
