Referrals Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referrals Coordinator to facilitate patient referrals and ensure optimal care coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all referral order types and assist patients in navigating care options
• Act as the primary liaison between patients and referral specialists, scheduling appointments and communicating details
• Complete prior authorization requirements and document patient information in multiple systems while maintaining confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical navigator role
• Experience with insurance plans, precertification, and referral management
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedural coding, and HIPAA standards
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365
• Ability to work remotely in a secure and distraction-free environment
