Refinery Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Refinery Data Engineer to support instrumentation, asset modeling, and real-time data integration in petroleum refining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, interpret, and organize data from refinery P&IDs and equipment data sheets
• Identify and catalog refinery equipment and associate instrumentation with process equipment
• Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accurate data associations

Required Qualifications

• Direct experience working with refinery P&IDs, equipment lists, and process flow documentation
• Familiarity with PI Systems and live process data streams in refining environments
• Strong understanding of refinery process equipment and instrumentation
• Proficiency with Excel or other engineering data management tools
• High attention to detail and ability to navigate complex refinery documentation
