Job Summary

A company is looking for a Refund Dispute Specialist responsible for processing payer refund requests and managing disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process incoming payer refund requests and determine appropriateness of refunds or disputes
  • Verify billing accuracy and compliance with payer contracts and regulations
  • Create and submit payer dispute letters with supporting documentation
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in revenue cycle management with knowledge of reimbursement processes
  • Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ and Waystar is a plus
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices and medical coding (ICD 9/10, CPT, HCPCS)
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills with typing speed of 40+ WPM
