Refund Specialist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Refund Specialist II, responsible for validating and tracking credits due to insurance companies and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews and submits refund requests for approval daily
• Tracks check posting information and updates the Credit Balance Spreadsheet
• Prepares Refund Request Forms and assists with audits of adjustments and payment posting

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of three years of medical billing experience required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with payor contracts
• 2+ years of posting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
