Regional Director of Engineering

Job Summary

To lead and scale a new Forward Deployed Engineering team, the full-time Regional Director of Engineering will manage a team of engineers embedded with enterprise customers, ensuring project delivery, relationship management, and the development of training programs for partners, while working remotely or from San Francisco or New York.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full arc from technical discovery to project delivery, partnering with sales teams to qualify opportunities and scope engagements
• Serve as the executive technical sponsor for high-priority engagements, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring delivery quality across projects
• Lead, develop, and scale a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, setting performance standards and coaching them through complex challenges

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams in Forward Deployed Engineering or similar roles with a focus on production code
• Proficiency in software development and coding, particularly in Python and Javascript/Typescript
• Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production environments
• Ability to quickly diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments and scope meaningful engagements
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling technical teams with a focus on delivery excellence
