Job Summary
Experienced state-level government affairs professionals will find a remote opportunity as a full-time Regional Government Affairs Lead, responsible for managing external lobbyists, developing relationships with state officials, and translating corporate lobbying strategies into state-specific campaigns.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accountability manager for external lobbyists, setting performance expectations and conducting regular assessments
- Translate corporate policy positions into tailored advocacy messaging that aligns with local political dynamics
- Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators and regulatory bodies, while monitoring relevant legislation affecting social gaming and related policies
Required qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience in state government, lobbying, or legislative affairs, with exposure to multiple state legislatures
- Experience managing external vendors or consultants against defined performance standards
- Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or consumer protection policies
- Established relationships with key government officials in the assigned region
- Proficiency with legislative tracking tools
