Managing a profitable book of business in the Minneapolis area, the full-time Regional Underwriting Director will analyze underwriting data, oversee agency relationships, mentor team members, and drive departmental goals in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drives profitability, retention, and written premium goals for the department
• Manages the underwriting team and territory to achieve departmental objectives
• Maintains awareness of market trends and identifies emerging threats to the department

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in underwriting
• Possesses strong communication and analytical skills for pursuing new business and managing renewals
• Proficient in necessary software for underwriting tasks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Holds underwriting and industry designations applicable to the area of specialization
