Managing a profitable book of business in the Kansas City area, the full-time Regional Underwriting Director will oversee agency relationships, mentor underwriters, and drive departmental profitability while working remotely.

• Drives profitability, retention, and written premium goals for the department
• Manages the underwriting team and territory to achieve departmental objectives
• Maintains awareness of market trends and provides input into strategic planning activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in underwriting
• Possesses strong communication and analytical skills for business development and renewal management
• Proficient in necessary software tools for underwriting success
• Holds applicable underwriting and industry designations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
