Registered Health Information Analyst

Job Summary

Serving as a subject matter expert in Charge Description Master (CDM) regulatory requirements, the full-time remote Registered Health Information Analyst will evaluate and recommend changes to CDM line items, ensuring alignment with billing and coding regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate changing regulatory and payer requirements, conducting research and analysis to recommend applicable changes to the CDM
• Review and update Charge Description Master in the CDM software, maintaining accurate billing descriptions and coding elements
• Communicate changes made to the corporate CDM to impacted users and perform Epic pre-work activities related to CDM mapping

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
• At least 2 years of recent relevant experience in charge master coding
• In-depth knowledge of charge master coding requirements, including Revenue Codes and Current Procedural Terminology
• Familiarity with medical terminology and the medical record coding process
