Registered Nurse Authorization

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between care managers and payors, facilitating communication as needed
• Collaborate with departments to ensure all necessary information is obtained for authorizations
• Perform clinical reviews for cases requiring authorization and maintain knowledge of regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications

• RN required; BSN or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Licensed in the practicing state
• 5 years of acute care clinical experience
• 2 years of payer or care management experience
• Knowledge of medical necessity criteria and prior utilization review experience
