Job Summary

Providing acute mental health crisis evaluation, the part-time Registered Nurse Behavioral Health will perform rapid assessments, conduct psychosocial evaluations, and support patient placement for psychiatric inpatient beds while working remotely during days and nights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on-demand assessments and maintain an updated patient database while ensuring excellent customer service
• Perform psychosocial assessments, including risk evaluations, and collaborate with care providers to determine appropriate care levels
• Assist telemedicine sites with patient placement and provide mental health support, including de-escalation strategies and safety planning

Required qualifications

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred; graduation from an approved nursing program is acceptable
• At least two years of Behavioral Health nursing experience preferred
• Active unrestricted multistate RN license required within 120 days of hire
• Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHN) by the ANCC preferred
• Completion of state-specific certification/education within required time periods
