Job Summary
Serving as the primary point of contact for patients after their intake visit, the full-time Registered Nurse Care Advocate will assist Medicare patients in understanding their care plans, scheduling appointments, and navigating insurance while providing non-clinical support remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Help patients understand and act on their care plans, including scheduling appointments and utilizing Medicare benefits
- Resolve navigation issues related to referrals, appointment logistics, and provider communications
- Document all patient interactions and support activities accurately and in a timely manner
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in good standing
- 3+ years of nursing or patient-facing experience in care coordination or similar roles
- Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and Medicare
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and maintain strong documentation
- Reliable computer, internet, and a quiet space for patient calls
