Registered Nurse CDQI Specialist
Job Summary
As a part-time PRN Registered Nurse CDQI Specialist, the candidate will conduct evaluations of medical record documentation, collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance documentation quality, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines to improve patient care outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct timely and accurate reviews of inpatient medical records, addressing documentation issues
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure appropriate reimbursement and clinical severity for DRG-based patients
- Educate healthcare providers on the importance of clear documentation to enhance coding specificity
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an academic medical center
- Registered Nurse license and Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- CCDS or CDIP certification required
- Ability to accommodate a minimum of 15 hours per week
