Registered Nurse CDQI Specialist
Job Summary
To enhance the quality of medical record documentation, the part-time Registered Nurse CDQI Specialist will conduct documentation reviews, collaborate with healthcare providers, and educate on coding specificity while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct timely and accurate reviews of inpatient medical records to address documentation issues
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure appropriate reimbursement and clinical severity for DRG-based patients
- Educate healthcare providers on the importance of clear documentation to improve coding specificity
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an academic medical center
- Registered Nurse license and Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- CCDS or CDIP certification required
- Ability to accommodate a minimum of 15 hours per week
