Job Summary

To support client care authorization processes, the full-time Clinical Letter Writer will gather and review medical records, draft letters of medical necessity, and communicate with team members regarding client authorizations and recertifications in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Research diagnoses and treatment strategies to inform correspondence for client authorizations and care changes
• Write draft letters of medical necessity for authorization and recertification of client care
• Review authorization and recertification paperwork, providing clarification as needed to team members

Required qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current State licensure preferred
• Minimum of two years of healthcare experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record and insured as per state and/or Agency requirements
