Registered Nurse Coder Specialist
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Nurse/Coder Ideation Specialist to develop and enhance clinical and coding products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop content and innovative strategies for clinical and coding products, focusing on payment integrity
- Conduct data analysis and research to enhance claim selection methodologies and coding solutions
- Provide Subject Matter Expert support and monitor program performance, recommending improvements as necessary
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in reviewing and auditing ICD 10 CM/PCS, MS-DRG, and related claims
- Registered Nurse and/or Inpatient Coding Certification required; RN with coding credentials preferred
- Expertise in Itemized Bill Review and clinical/coding policy development
- Deep knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing and coding audits
- Ability to perform independent research and data analysis to develop new audit strategies
