Job Summary
To support a growing cardiology practice, the part-time Registered Nurse, Stress Testing will assist in planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care, including administering stress tests and monitoring vital signs in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate, monitor, and complete non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic stress tests, including PET, while collaborating with the Nuclear Technologist
- Manage IV administration, including vein selection and catheter removal, while ensuring aseptic techniques are followed
- Monitor and document vital signs, interpret EKGs, and communicate any abnormalities to the supervising physician
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current and unencumbered licensure with the Resident State Board of Registered Nurses
- Minimum of two years of critical care or similar experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
- Advanced certification in Cardiology/Cardiovascular nursing preferred
