Registered Nurse Utilization Supervisor
Job Summary
Managing the day-to-day operations of the Utilization Management nursing staff, the full-time Registered Nurse Utilization Supervisor will oversee work queues, monitor adherence to metrics, and train new hires while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and adjust work queues to maintain workflow balance within the Utilization Management department
- Monitor and implement adherence to departmental and company performance metrics
- Assess the Utilization Management program for opportunities to improve efficiencies and outcomes
Required qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Two or more years of experience in Managed Care, specifically in Utilization Review or Case Management
- Three or more years of clinical experience as a bedside nurse in NICU/PICU/Peds/ICU
- Experience in a team lead or supervisory role managing nursing staff
- Familiarity with URAC standards is preferred
